Cinematographer of the week: Greig Fraser

Have you already watched "Dune" by Denis Villeneuve, which has already became "one of the most important movies in 2021"? A talented cinematographer Greig Fraser made for you all this amazing operator's work! We'd like to talk about his the most important projects.
"Bright Star" (2009) by Jane Campion is the first Greig's film, which was praised by critics, tells a story about terminally ill poet John Keats meets his muse Fanny Brawne. This movie brought Fraser British Independent Film Awards.

"Let me in" (2010) by Matt Reeves. Remake of Swedish drama about 12-years-old boy who sees mysterious barefoot girl one winter evening. Moreover, Matt and Greig teamed up again. They another work "Batman" will be released in 2022.

"Lion" (2016) by Garth Davis. Heartbreaking drama about a boy who is looking for a family. The film was released on Toronto International Film Festival and got 6 Oscar nominations, but, unfortunately, won none of them.

Fraser had a hand in Star Wars saga, while working with Gareth Edwards for "Rogue One" in 2016.

And, of course, we have to add to list of Greig's works "Dune" (2021). Our team has already checked it out and we highly recommend you to do the same.
